Some politicians in New York state have also proposed suspending the state’s gas tax, which is 33.3 cents per gallon.

Although the federal government isn’t looking to roll out any kind of stimulus plan as of yet, state lawmakers and president Biden have come up with various ideas to aid consumers. These include a 3-month relaxation of the tax on gas. As of late June the proposal is not being thought of by Congress. It could be a while before gas rebates start being distributed to every state. While President Trump has proposed an annual gas tax holiday across the country however, he hasn’t found an appropriate legislation to pay for it.
